Family Information Sessions about the NJSLA-A and NJGPA-A

Family Information Sessions about the NJSLA-A and NJGPA-A

The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment–Adaptive (NJSLA-A) and the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment–Adaptive (NJGPA-A) are new versions of our statewide tests. These assessments help families and teachers understand how students are progressing with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Our goal is to give families clear, useful information that supports learning and success.

What Can I Expect to Learn During the Information Sessions?
The New Jersey Department of Education, along with our assessment partner Cambium Assessment, Inc. (CAI), is hosting virtual information sessions to help families learn about the new tests. During each session, representatives from NJDOE and CAI will discuss:

  • Why New Jersey gives statewide assessments
  • How adaptive testing works
  • What’s new in the upcoming NJSLA-A and NJGPA-A
  • How these tests support students and families

Time will be made available for questions from participants. All sessions are free, virtual, and open to families. For those unable
to attend, we will post the presentations for families to access at their convenience after the series concludes.
